Dance Studio Instructors
Dee Dee Huehnerfuss -Owner/Artistic Director
Holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dance from the University of Stevens Point, WI. She has taken dance since the age of five and has over 20 years experience teaching, choreographing and directing dance. Dee Dee's performance experience includes involvement with After Images, American College Dance Festival, UW-Madison Dance Council, Orchesis Dance Club, Dance Midwest, Joe Termain workshops, Dance Olympus workshop, Monster Hip Hop Workshops, and Theatrical productions. In addition she has a coaching certificate in gymnastics at all levels. Currently she attends several intensive dance training workshops.
Kelly Barttelt
Kelly Barttelt has been teaching dance for over 15 years and has had experience in choreography and competitive dance. Kelly has performed at the Orange Bowl and has earned the NAPS WI Grand Champion Solo Talent title along with many other prestigious dance awards. She has taught for the WI Dance Camp program and coached the All-Star WDC Dance Team in Disney World, FL. She is a state level dance judge for the WI Association of Cheer and Pom Coaches and judges many invitational and exhibition events across the state.
Kelly has participated in many dance and teacher training workshops some
of which include the American Tap Dance Institution, Dance Olympus, L.A.
Undergound, and the Jazz Dance World Congress Intensive. She has also
earned her teaching certification in Vaganova method ballet from the Ballet
Intensive which was held in Chicago, Illinois and is a member of the Classical
Dance Alliance. Kelly is also a member of the Clogging Association of
WI, Gopher State Clogging Association (MN), and the National Clogging
Leaders Organization.
When not teaching or judging Kelly enjoys performing as a volunteer dance
entertainer for local nursing homes and is the coordinator of the DDH
Dance Academy’s performing Troupe Community volunteer program
Jodi Wierzba
Jodi Wierzba holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She has been dancing since the age of 3 and has assisted and taught dance for 6 of those years. While at the University of Minnesota she took part in the Student Dance Coalition and was cast in the University Dance Theater production of Dance Revelations. She has also studied under many established and esteemed choreographers and dancers such as Toni Pierce-Sands formally of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Carl Flink formally of the Limon Dance Company and Emmy award winner and veteran Broadway performer Linda Talcott Lee. She is happy to be back at DDH Dance Academy and looks forward to seeing old faces and meeting new ones.
Jill Elliott
Ms. Jill started taking dance at the age of 3 and has over 20 years of dance experience. Jill started assistant teaching when she was 11 years old and has been teaching her own classes for 7 years. She has participated in dance workshops including Dance Olympus and Showstoppers. Jill was a guest choreographer for the 2008 Prince and Princess of Hope Pageant and also has choreographed for the Black River Falls High School dance team. She is looking forward to another great year and can not wait to share her love of dance with her students.
Tanya Volm
Miss Tanya strengths and passions are in the dance form of Street Hip Hop. She stays current and update with the ever changing styles of hip hop by attending Monsters Hip Hop workshops and other various dance workshops. She has had the opportunity to have taken class from several well-known hip hop artist such as Rhapsody, Napoleon & Tabitha Dumo, Kevin Maher,Popin' Pete, Phi (Jabbawockeez). Now, she is continuing to hone her craft and pursue her passion as a choreographer and instructor, and continues to develop the ddh performance crew dancers. Still considering herself a student of dance because of the continuous learning process, she wants to reach new heights and teach others the amazing art and culture of Hip Hop DANCE!
